In 2010 Kindra combined her love of history, learning and teaching to start Kitty’s Interpretation, Talks and Heritage Education, or KITHE for short. A long time advocate of promoting learning through interaction, this is fundamental in all that KITHE does. Whether it’s a school visit, talk or event with hundreds of performers, the aim is always to create a fun atmosphere in which learning can thrive. Although KITHE is relatively new, Kindra’s love of history is not, and she also brings knowledge and experience from other areas of work, some of which is outlined below.
2007 – 2011 History BA (hons) First Class awarded by Bath Spa University.
2009 – 2010 Student mentor for three local secondary school pupils.
2009 – 2010 Training covering the following skills: Communication, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, Mentoring, Child Protection, Ethics and Boundaries, Working in Schools, Equal Opportunities.
2007 – 2010 Student Ambassador for Bath Spa University, helping with their education days and events.
Of course, in order to provide a wide range of services and expertise, KITHE can call upon an ever growing list of contacts, all of which are pre-approved. These range from authors and curators to armourers and costumiers. In this way KITHE ensures that you receive a quality service from people who specialise in their particular fields.
